Your mind knows it is not good for you, but your body thinks that it needs the cigarette to get through the day. Cigarettes have a lot of chemicals in it and toxins. When it is smoked, it is dispersed into the air, and it will affect anyone who is there.
As a young kid, you think that smoking is a cool thing to do because all of your friends are doing it. Well, pictures of x-rays will tell you differently. It damages your insides and the outside of your body as well. Lung cancer is not a pretty thing to see or have because it can kill you. It will take years off of your life and make you look old. Smoking will turn your teeth yellow and give you mouth cancer, too. Your teeth can even rot, and they can fall out due to the damage of the cigarettes. Smoking can also cause birth defects, and it can hurt a baby's ears and lungs. Cigarettes have thousands of toxins in just one cigarette. All it takes is just one cigarette to make you addicted to it, and then you're hooked on them.
You need to stop smoking because your health will get better, if it isn't already bad. You will save hundreds of dollars per year by not smoking, and you can save your life and someone else's life for that matter. Smoking causes wrinkles, and it ages the skin. It can also make your hair get thinner, and it can fall out if it gets really bad.
When you run, you can feel it because you will have less air in your lungs to breathe in. It can make you tired and dizzy, too, especially if you have been smoking for years and years. It can take that time or it can get you right away. It can make your nails brittle and your finger turn yellow. It makes your house smoky and smell like a cigarette ash tray.
